Internal Revenue Service  You can access forms, publications, and various IRS information via this helpful website.  You can also check on the status of your refund here by clicking on "Where's My Refund".

California Franchise Tax Board Here is the California equivalent of the IRS website.  You can check on the status of your refund here also by providing the requested information.  California Franchise Tax Board Interest Rates  

California Employment Development Department  You can obtain current payroll withholding tables as well as filing the required report for new employees.

California Golden Scholarshare  A wealth of information regarding the Internal Code Section 529 college savings program.  Also check out the College Savings Plan Network's website.

GuideStar If you need some information before you contribute to a charity, this is a good place to go.  It even provides financial information.  You can also go to the IRS Exempt Organizations search site, but this can be somewhat time consuming.
